Happy Canada Day everyone! Yesterday’s festivities down at the park were well attended. Multicultural dance, music, food and the wonderful art, pottery and jewelry booths were icing on the cake. I did not attend the fireworks display as my all day dose of fresh air had me asleep by 10:00… how embarrassing!
Having today as a STAT day helped me get caught up on laundry and grocery shopping. I can’t say a lot of house work got done… or yard work actually, but I have finished reading the Half Blood Prince and have started the Deathly Hallows. What will I read when I am done the Harry Potter series? I was thinking maybe having a go at the Hunger Games. The movie was awesome and I know that my son really liked the books so I may have a winner there.
I find it interesting how my reading taste has gone to young adult while I am trying to get back on track with my romance writing. “Write what you read” is a well versed thought, but I like what I am reading right now, maybe even learning some new styles and vocabulary.
